ComSciCon is organized by graduate students at universities nationwide.  Our programming is predominantly organized by:

• A persistent Leadership Team composed of current and former members of ComSciCon national workshop Organizing Committees.
• Local and Program Organizing Committees (LOC and POCs) formed annually for our flagship national workshop.  The LOC is predominantly formed of members local to our venue.  The POC is formed from ComSciCon workshop alums around the country.
• Independent organizing committees formed to launch regional and specialized ComSciCon  workshops around the country.

ComSciCon was founded by graduate students at Harvard University, MIT, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, inspired by their work in science communication through the Astrobites and Chembites organization.
